Something Satisfying

There's something satisfying when a box to hold tools is made primarily with the tools it contains.
I could get spoiled with this Honduras mahogany. Truly a dream to work with. Just rough finish inside. Will get it done today and apply tung oil.

You have a gift.
That's sweet looking. Are you taking orders?
Can you make one large enough to fit a tubing uncoiler?
I sure do love the smell of Tung oil.

Wow!
That is a great looking bit case. I would be afraid to use it in the field! Are you sure your not a furniture maker masquerading as a wet head?

As an old friend of mine used to say I can do anything just that some things are just not worth my time and your money
Very nice work, I love nicely made wood tool chests.0 -
Honestly I can make about anything, but as you say it might not be worth my time and your money. My Chinese Forstner bits were never very good and I needed a few larger sizes so bought a big set. Was surprised that it didn't come with a case. Figured that a few hundred $$$ worth of the finest German tool steel deserved a decent case. Found another supplier of the same bit set who did supply a case, but no place for the extensions and no room for 1/16" sizes for 1" and below.
Most all cut from end "scraps" even if I was breaking down with the intention of some leftovers.0 -
It's quite suitable for field use--provided you have a drill press in the field...
At 43 I still haven't figured out what I am but hydronics [seems] to be the focal point of my natural skills.
Doubtful though that I'll ever make a living from hydronics as I lack the formal training for the job I want--to be "locked away" in R&D to pursue "free" energy from the cosmos.0
