Leaking W/M pool heater - Update
Options
Once I pulled it out and got a good look inside and out I found no evidence whatsoever of excessive corrosion but I DID find where the weld for one of the endbells had a tiny spot where it did not take. Apparently the coating on the outside of the heater had kept it from leaking for 2 seasons. So I called W/M back and explained this to them and they are willing to take it back and, upon their approval, issue a credit on it. I have no doubt that once they see it they'll know it is clearly a day one defect. So kudos to them for being willing to take care of this for me and keep things on the up and up. They get a notch in the "good" column.
