    Our experience

    VERY reliable!

Seem to hold up better than most furnaces these days, but unfortuantely that isn't saying much with how many problems we find on standard furnaces :(

    Agreed

While I don't have a lot of experience with the R/R modulating furnace, I have to agree with John's assessment that collectively, service life of any modern furnace is pretty dismal. Brand seems to make little difference and probably 1/2 of the early deaths I see are related to poor installation and setup.

    Ruud/Rheem furnaces

Two of the companies that I used to work for, were Ruud dealers. As a service tech from the front lines, this product line is very reliable. Once they went to that direct spark ignition, in my experience, they "run like a clock"
