That's one way to hold a tankless coil in

I've seen many uses for vice-grips but this is special!!

i must say that is an unusual configuration of vice grips..*~/:)

one other observation, that unique placement of an open end spanner with the epoxy honestly never occurred to me either.

i guess i am missing the boat:)

    vise grips

Send the photos to Vise Grips....you may start a new ad campaign for them....looks like plain old yankee ingenuity to me......whatever works in an emergency

I went to do an annual service

on an oil fired boiler about fifteen years ago, you guessed it leaking tankless gasket guy wanted it fixed pronto however I had no gasket. He wanted me to just tighten the bolts but looked to corroded to touch told him to leave it be until I got one. Next morning he is in the office tried tightening it himself and you guessed it he broke a bolt. I swung by and popped on a pair of Vise Grips ordered the gasket the Vise Grips are still there he just likes the reminder.

They had been there a year or so, I was giving a quote to replace it when I found them.

    In a WM

I drill a small hole in the center of the bolt and spray PB Blaster in the hole and outside if enough stud is outside I clamp on vise grips and tap until it loosens, if not so lucky drill bigger and try extractor if still no luck drill bigger and dig the threads out, rarely do I have to re-tap.
