We don't do much new construction

but this was for my next-door neighbor, and the GC is a good friend. How could I refuse? ;-)

My neighbor's elderly mother was moving in with her, and the addition was put on to the rear of the bedroom she would use. The job called for a bathroom with some ADA features, a small sitting room with a refrigerator/stove/sink combo unit, and extending the house's baseboard-loop system into these two rooms. We ended up splitting the baseboard system into three zones, previously it was just a single zone.

Photos 1 and 2 show the Clarion walk-in shower stall, barrier-free with a seat and a Delta commercial-grade pressure-balance handheld/grab bar shower unit.

Photo 3 looks the other way in the bathroom. You can roll a wheelchair under the lav if needed, and the lav is supported on a carrier built into the wall, as done on commercial jobs, rather than being hung from a bracket. We used a high version of our now-standard Gerber Viper toilet. The fin-tube radiation is Beacon-Morris commercial-grade- it was the best fit given the heat losses and available space.

Photo 4 is the sitting room, which has its own outside entrance, with some cabinetry still to be installed. You can see the combo unit and more Beacon-Morris fin-tube. We found this fin-tube to be very well made and easy to install. The green sticker on the window was put there when we passed our inspection.

we sometimes forget there are options to the basic fin tube baseboards. Nice fit under the windows.
