More flushing, more better
We like to flush the returns out with a hose thru the main vent tappings. Drains like that make it easy. Not sure if you really need the strainers though.

I was wondering with the low-flow, low-pressure, and velocity
if this wouldn't cause junk to lay in the pipe where it is, rather than travel down stream. (As they clog, that is)0 -

Someone took out a 9 section Montgomery Ward boiler and replaced it with a 3 section steamer of a fine brand.0 -
