Accident photo

This is very sobering .....gut wrenching

It's a picture of an accident on a German highway and it may be hard to take for some of you. Some of the survivors of the initial crash can still be seen in the wreckage. Life can take a sudden turn and our loved ones can be gone in the blink of an eye. Many people came to try and give aid, including mouth to mouth, but I heard there were no survivors.

    I've seen this before

but it never gets easier to look at. IT really makes one wonder .... Why ???

The best I could do would be to help comfort some of the relatives, hold them tight and let them know they are loved.

    It's so sad.

I heard that one of them decided to commit suicide and took the rest with them. I'm sure, just to save the others, any of us here would have gladly killed a few so the many may live.

    Nice,

Steve. It took me a few seconds before actually opening but I'm glad I did.

My guess is the clean up took DAYS.

I'm sure they had to turn away volunteers who wanted to help in the search for survivors.

    So sad

Yet sometimes a tragedy can pull a community together. Like the time a Coors truck overturned here and dumped it's load into the Platte River. Hundreds of volunteers turned out to rescue the survivors from the frigid torrent.

    Beer Terrorism!

*sniff*.......breaks my heart to see all of those innocent bottles. I wonder if they were headed to Hartford, CT.

    More details

Yes, I just read that the police suspect that alcohol might have been involved somehow. Tragedy, either way.

    fool me once

I like to read through the first few posts before opening a pic most of the time. I got kinda scared to open it. after the
second or third post. Although somthing like that I would rather see second hand. I think I would have glass in my toungue if I had been there.

    A Terrible Waste

Didn't anyone realize that those casualties were illegal aliens. Those were Grolsch bottles from Holland. A big no no in Germany.
