I'll call you tuesday Ted. I'm actually in Hood River OR and the equipment came out of Portland OR. Your controls sound like what I'm looking for.

Geo piping and contols.
I'm looking for any input on piping layout for a geothermal storage tank.
Radiant side has 16 gallons per minute with all the zones calling 80,000 btu at design. Two air handlers will be mostly for chilled a/c water but could be used as heaters in the spring and fall.
Two geo units totaling 7 1/2 tons. 3 air thermostats and 7 heat stats
I would like to reset the water temp or is this necessary? water will be at 110 during heating season and most the floors are thick stone or concrete with some gype/wood.
The geo installer has done a lot of air but not radiant. The controls are hard to figure also, everything I see is set up for use with boilers. I did find a set up for controlling all of this from Geo Tec out of Iowa. The geo installer is not real comfortable with it because it doesn't have a big company to back it up. It's more of a homemade board with various cube relays.
I was brought in late after the plumber decided it was too complex. I am probably in over my head but I'll be good to go on the next one.
If anyone wants to give me there phone # I sure would love to pick your brains for ten minutes.

geo controls
I use reset controls on geo systems and it has worked very effectively, the closer you can keep your load temp to the source temp the more efficiently your gshp will run, simple logic. and just because a control is labeled as a "boiler control" doesn't mean it can't be used on a heat pump, a good reset control (tekmar, HBX etc.) can actually extend the life of your compressor by using an automatically adjustable differential to prevent short cycling in mild weather. these guys do make geo specific controls: HBX Controls0 -
I can help
We rep HBX controls in Iowa and can also help on piping. Where are you in Iowa? Who did you get the equipment from? My cell# 651-895-6627.
