Besides my awful cell phone camera. Apparently the whole development was done this way. Told the customer I could fix it at minimal cost but he said why bother it works ok. The did pump away anyway lol

    With my limited knowledge of forced hot-water systems I would say the expansion tank is in zero gravity and is confused which way is up and which way is down.

    The bottom of that boiler....

    will be a muddy mess in short order! Frank, how'd you like to have to service that puppy after a year of starts and stops? (No thanks on this end!)

    I bet the installers knees were clean and well protected during this install. 3 tappings he could choose...and he picked this one? Hoo boy! Chris

    Its not a small house either. On a cold day I cant see the water in the baseboard being much more than 140 - 150 maybe.

    Tie the return in at the relief port?

    If so what did they do with the relief valve?

    Don't see a vacuum relief installed on the BoilerMate either.
