    some \" experts \" ..

are not experts at anything that involves pneumatic controls ( like the air balancer that I was complaining about ). The air balancing contractor makes me think of this song ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8NcPvdZ3Go )

..as I have offered them all my knowledge on the subject of pneumatic vav controllers , and they still crank them out of range and make it difficult on me.

I am assuming my orgional post was deleted by the forum moderator or hijacked by an air balance sympathizer...either way " plumbdog " had a " one word solution ". His " one word " should have been " EDUCATION ". This would address two issues.

One , it would allow the air balance contractor to understand his job.

Two , it would allow someone responding to my thread to understand what they are replying to. - M

    I deleted the thread

because you called one of my other guests a moron. I don't allow that here on the Wall. Thanks for understanding that now. When we start calling names it breaks down the community and we're all the less for it. I e-mailed you and said the same.

    I knew that

some where in the wings the airbalance guy was going to get
    mad.

You know they have the same problem alot of boiler techs have...crank it up.. more is better.

    only on a specific subject

tried to show respect to the person , and trash his reply , but had intent to respect the person. I understand how that intent may have appeared " compromised ". -M

Fresh Start..for those who don't know

Pneumatic controls involve multiple ' pressure regulators " to control and " power " a series of events or processes. The " control points " ( pressure start points and pressure spans ) are crucial to what will be the end result.

I try to consider this when " set up " a device that is controlled this way so that the last guy ( balancer ) can do his job and get out.

This group of balancers seem to find fault in every pneumatic controller they go to ( new , existing , whatever ). Are they looking for extra's , or to go home early , I'm not sure but it is extremely difficult to find these devices adjusted " out of range ". To get them adjusted back it is cheaper to just replace it . And this just ticks me off to no end ( imagine some fool comming behind you on each job having you replace radiator traps that you know are good ). Out of range controllers are hard to prove...I save them all. - M
