steam conversion

Too many possibilities, too little information. Valve stems, a missed trap, leaks in the wall. How did you pipe it? What was original configuration? Many variables of two pipe.......Get the pressure as high as you can and listen for the leaks.

    steam conversion

I am working on a 2 pipe steam conversion to hot water. I can not get the system to pressurize with air and can't find a leak anywhere!!! It is a 70 year old bldg with 3 stories. Any suggestions welcome- Thanks Jim

    coversion

Your first mistake was not leaving it alone put it back to steam and walk away you will lose less money in the end unless you need a sword of Damiclese hanging around to keep the lads busy when its slow.

traps were gutted and capped -no air vents on radiators-boilers are removed and mains capped.cant pressurize any line!!!

    fill it

You wanted it handle water, fill it up slowly and look/listen for the water. It will rear its ugly head probably where you least expect it and don't want it.

How about a smoke bomb ??
