does this thermostat exist?

Just use any t-stat that will accept a remot sensor, there are dozens of styles available. Put the sensor in the room and the stat as far away from the diddlers as need be.

    does this thermostat exist?

We are looking for thermostats for heat only. We want ones that go no higher than 70 and no lower than 55 degrees. The limits are so no one shuts em off and pipes freeze; and so no one cranks the heat and opens the windows. Prefer ones that are not programmable due to people playing with them. They cannot be mercury in this state. Does anyone know of a manufacturer of these? Thanks.
  • Lockout

Some digitals offer the option of locking out the keyboard.

Tekmar gives you the options to limit setpoints, I believe, but you'll have to change the way things are. The "t-stats" become sensors that report to a computer in the boiler room and it tells the zones to operate...works very well, and fairly easy to operate.

You could use either the TH8110 or the TH6110...

However, both are programmable, the TH8110 being a 7 day, and the TH6110 being a 5-1-1. Both can be configured for heat only. Both have programmable range stops that set a minimum and maximum heating or cooling setpoint. The TH8110 also features a lock out option, meaning there are no changes allowed to the setpoint. TH8110 is a touch screen, the Th6100 uses soft keys. Either are EnergyStar, and can be used with oil or gas, steam, hydronic, forced air or up to 1 stage heat, 1 stage cool heatpump. Available from any Honeywell distributor. Go to www.customer.honeywell.com, and scroll down to the lower right, type in TH8110 or TH6110, and you will get a PDF of the wiring & programming sheet. No charge, and no password requires. You alos can call 1 800 468 1502 for tech info.

And the TH8110 can even be set up to be non-programmable-- installer setup option #0160. That stat has everything!
