A nice touch if you put a bolt roughly the size of the hole(s) to assure no leakage from the gasses inside the inner aspect to the outer, or for that matter, the hyper sensitive you forgot to see on the ceiling over the boiler (:-o)
Yes. You should have tested at the collar typically where the boiler breach collar connects to the DBL wall. No harm done however. At least you dialed it in! Sadly, most installers wing it. A very bad thing to do.
I don't have my O2 to CO2 relationship chart handy, but if your doing O2 combsution gasses analysis, the O2 number is moot anyhow. If however you're doing O2 based efficiency cals., the CO2 number is moot. Most analyzers do both, and regardless of the source/basis (O2 or CO2) the efficiency would be identical.

Boiler stack
I am working on a commercial package boiler with a forced draft burner. The flue connection is at the bottom of the boiler. The flue connector and all of the flue is double wall. I may have screwed up, but I drilled a hole thru the double wall to do a combustion analysis. My questions are:
(1) Is it ok to drill thru that?
(2) How do I seal the hole?
(3) There was a condensate tap off the bottom of the stack tee in the riser to the roof but I wanted to be closer to the boiler, should I have checked it there?
(4) My oxygen reading was O2%, my co2 was 11.8% co 34PPM at 86% efficentcy. Is the O2 supposed to be 0 at that efficency?0
