First Solar - DF

After seeing thr pervasiveness of solar and other alternative fuel sources at ISH 2007, I realized we needed to get with the program and offer alternative energy sources to our clients. This project was driven by our client, an architect, who insisted on solar DHW.

We chose an Oventrop system as it was packaged (collectors, pump package, tank and controls) and we had the back-up support of our local rep (Jack Guilfoyle @ Cummins-Wagner) and Peter Biondo at Oventrop. Our ace crew of Brian Golden, Papa and Dragan handled this with ease with only a few phone calls to Peter to help iron out some details.

Today was cool, cloudy and drizzly yet the colector was producing 149* supply water at 1pm. I have a feeling this is the first of many to come. -DF
