In some cases
Tha PAP products shine. I like it for baseboard and panel radiator jobs. Less expension movement makes it a nice match for transfer plates and UltraFin applications. Large sizes in straight lengths are great for indirect and boiler room piping.
I don't like it for in slab applications. It dents, and sometimes kinks fairly easily when stepped on as it crosses rebar or rewire.
We have seen some pics of de-lam issues from time to time here.
My favorite is the Viega FostaPex. It is a full diameter pex with the aluminum layer around the outside, no de lam issues to worry about. It also has a protective PE layer around the aluminum for a very tough tube. The OD is a bit large for transfer plate installation, however.
They also have a nice fitting system. Good looking, stainless steel crimp rings and thick brass barbed fittings.
