Staple Guns

I'm thinking of going with a gun that has the extend-o attachment to keep operator off knees. Looks like it could save us some time and sore backs. Probably use our old SENCO for the tight spots. Or just get 2 guns because of the staple issue.

    Staple Gun's seen better days

Looking @ a new gun to staple my tubing down. Had and old SENCO that we altered for tube duty. Worked fine until custom guide broke and my guys shot through tube. Luckily they where only 60' in. Was going to use Bubble gum and electrical tape but thought better. Gum had no O2 barrier... maybe the wrapper???

    Anyway what's the best?

    Thanks in advance.

    A Senco PW by chance?

Hard to find a better stapler than that. Do you just need the guide, or is the gun worn out? It's a very simple gun to rebuild or have rebuilt. A bunch of o-rings really. Plenty of used ones out there also.

The guide can be whittled out of a piece of aluminum easily. I'll bet Watts Radiant still has a stash of them, if you contact the right person.

I don't know if Senco still offers the PW, but I am a fan of there other tools.

I used a Stanley Bostich on a jobsite the other day, just didn't feel as sturdy as my Senco.

The staples are not interchangable, by the way.

    SPS

She's and old SPS that we brazed custom guide holders. Great service but it's time. Will fix for spare but need new. SENCO I agree is hard to beat.

Thanks for info.. will demo couple of units next week.

Sure would be nice if staples where more interchangable between guns.

    Hitachi

I have three Hitachi guns and am very pleased with the performance and durability. We made up our own tube guides out of an old teflon cutting board. The thickness of the teflon board helps prevent off center shots.

    Extension handles

are simple to build. I used a piece if 1/2" EMT condiut with a piece of brazing rod inside.

Watts Radiant has a nice extension handle for the new Sencos.

    Lookin

Thanks... Yea, I'm looking @ that.. how quick does handle come off? Looks like a couple of screws. May swap out w/wing nuts for speed.

What we need is a robotic stapler so we can get a quick 9 in!!
