Do you have an older version of the AL1009?? Some of the older ones provided for some electrical interference.

    Riello BF3 problem

    Hi folks,
I'm firing an Axeman-anderson direct vented boiler with a Riello BF3. Both pre purge and post purge works normally on a call for heat or hot water but the burner lights for 1-2seconds, goes off for 5 seconds and repeats this 2 or 3 times before successfully commencing the burn cycle. Clean burn even during those tiny bursts but something is in the process of failing.
Thanks in advance for any help you folks can offer.

hi steve, if it were mine i would start with testing draft, and pump pressure, i had same problem on a buderus and found draft so high that until temps increased in chamber the burner lost the flame..... also a pump gauge should tell you if the oil valve has closed by pressure dropping from 150 psi to 75 psi approx... on direct vent i also like 1 oil line only with an indoor tank, if two lines needed for lift a tiger loop is a must.[ helps warm oil]. i am not familiar with the boiler does it have refractory material in chamber? what pump pressure is spec?
