Scott,
glad you enjoyed-it,,and I`m sorry for the loss of your friend.
Stay cool.
Dave0 -
Back in high school
We would have the a Marine Brass Band come and play at our school. They played the theme from Hawaii Five-O and we all thought it was the coolest thing
I use to love the names of the two Hawaian guys.
Zulu as Kono and Kam Fong as Chin Ho
" Book em Dano " was around along time before " Go Ahead, make my Day ".

A wee bit o trivia fer ye...
Did you know that Dan-0 aka James MacArthur was, at the time of Hawaii 5-0, married to a lovely lady named Melody Patterson. For 25 points and the win, what was Melody Patterson's claim to fame?0 -
My early in life love
Jane Angelica Thrift of F Troop0 -
Give that man a cigar!
The lovely Wrangler Jane -- who did wonders for buckskin!0 -
Ahhh, the wonders
of "ratings insurance":
Melody Patterson, Barbara Eden, Barbara Feldon, Maureen McCormick, Catherine Bach...... I could go on....
That's how they got us guys to watch!

Uh-oh...
Steamhead now giving John Barba the intro/segway for the Great "Mary-Ann vs.Ginger" debate, then the token, "I dream of Jeanni" follow up.
Has anyone notice John's new email address at Taco? (johbar at Taco-HVAC.com) I'm pretty relieved it's not "Fubar at Taco-HVAC.com".
Now, back to the question at hand in the Mary-Ann vs.Ginger debate. My answer........"Yes, please!"
Regards,
PR0 -
I think...
John White's pretty relieved it's not "fubar" either!
I'm a MaryAnn guy myself. But it's obvious there's no wrong choice to be made.0 -
Mary-Ann
All the way.
I wish.
I just knew you were a Mary-Ann guy, John.
Ginger was too shallow, IMHO.
Speaking of Hawaii 5-0 (in honor of it being the 50th state by the way), it seems a few of us are hitting that milestone this year, does it not?
Et Tu, Scotto? And other 1957 vintage folks?0 -
maryann all the way!! the ponytails are back in style too.Joe Mattiello

Well, I never mentioned
Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) or Ginger (Tina Louise)... wasn't gonna touch that one! For the record, I agree with Paul ;-)
For those too young to remember, the two aforementioned actors (yes, that's the proper term now from what I understand) appeared on "Gilligan's Island".
Barbara Eden played Jeannie on "I Dream of Jeannie".
Barbara Feldon played "99" on "Get Smart!". I remember the show where they met- Max was in the airport reading the sports page, and this lady came up and told him "the score was 99 to 86" as the camera angle went from her feet up to her face.....
Maureen McCormick played Marsha Brady on "The Brady Bunch". There was something of her in almost every high-school-age girl in the early- to mid-1970s.
Catherine Bach played Daisy Duke on "The Dukes of Hazzard", and as far as I'm concerned, did a much better job than whoever played Daisy in the movie. She has much the same status as Daisy that Sean Connery has as James Bond.

Opposite Penny Marshall?
oh I can`t remember her name,,but she was Ron Howard`s girlfriend in American Graffitti(sp).
(Edit) Now I remember,,it was Cindy Williams. OK Frank?
Dave0 -
A little more trivia,
who played Chester on Gunsmoke?
#2)Who was Tonto`s right hand man?
For that matter, who was Tonto?
Dave0 -
Ahhh
it was Cindy, not Judy.
Never watched Lost in Space much, I preferred Star Trek. It was written much better, and Shatner's overacting was always good for a laugh. Still is.
Don't forget Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Grace Lee Whitney (Rand).... or Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) and Michelle Forbes (Ro Laren) in The Next Generation, and Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) in Voyager!

Trivia
Dennis Weaver was Chester and Jay Silverheels was Tonto. Tonto's right hand man was the Lone Ranger. Played by Clayton Moore. Now, Who was Chester's replacement on Gunsmoke? Who was he played by and what previous TV show was he on?0 -
Trivia
And James MacArthur's mother was Mary Martin.0 -
Not too sure
but I`m gonna say either Burt Reynolds(Dan August), or Festus Hagen(Ken Curtis),,,close? Perhaps vice-versa,,remember Ken Curtis from Mr. Roberts with Hank Fonda and Jimmy Cagney about 1955?
Don`t forget, I`ve got another-one this Friday for y`all!
Dave0 -
aren't you guys...
Aren't you guys saying that you are waaayy too old for Paris Hilton?0 -
Yepper!
Stayed there once, room service wasn't much, but nice view of the Eiffel Tower. Personally I liked the Reuben's in London better.
Mmmm?? That was the "Paris Hilton" you meant, right??0 -
Funny Scott
I had you pegged as more of a Mrs. Howell type.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!

aren't you guys...
Until you brought that subject up I thought I was a Mary-Ann guy but I would take Ginger over Paris, but then again there is always "That Girl"0 -
Carol Wayne
As Johnnie Carson's foil during his Art Fern movie spoofs. Anybody guess which show her sister Nina starred in? (Deep trivia.)0 -

Gotta admit John,
I cheated and looked-it up, are you referring to Camp Runamuck? Never saw that show that I can recall.
Dave0 -
Damn Internet
You shouldn't cheat! It was a "cute" little show that ran one season followed by "Hank" -- the adventures of a catering truck driver.0 -
trivia
Yup, it was Ken Curtis as Festus. He played on "Ripcord" previously. He was John Ford's brother in law. He was in many of Ford's movies with John Wayne among others.0
