So .....

I've been getting the guys to take the pager more often now. After twenty four years of being on call the guys have been stepping up to the plate. Except for last night. The guy on call said he got tickets to the Redsox and could I take the pager. No Problem I said.

So, I'm out working on the boat after sneaking out a litle early and the Pager Goes Off. Never Fails.

Its the Local watering hole, Al's Cafe. Someone broke the sink off the wall and they've got all the water shut-off to the place. They need me right away. I'm Pissed. There goes my afternoon. On top of which I asked my wife to get someone to go sailing with us and she says " I just want to take it easy this afternoon " ???? Its summer, its hot as hell. I'm not happy.

So I walk into Al's with my head down and a scowl on my face and ...

SUPRISE !!!

My whole crew was there with beer and pizza ... Even a cake. ( O.K. enough with the fifty candles )

A couple of friends from the supply house and even two old employees showed up.

They got me GOOD !!!

I've got a GREAT TEAM.

Yeah, that's a good crew. But sounds like your wife lied to you. Maybe you can use that to your advantage (good luck with that).

I bet you never had a service call like that before yeah ,i will say scott you must be a one of a kind boss with a one of a kind crew that alone tells about the respect and friendship that you guys got going i would guess the wife was in on the scam too a big cover up ,i can only image the thoughts that where going through your skull in respect to the work that you thought you had to do only to walk in and find a couple of beers and your budieswaiting with a grin on there faces i guess they gotta ya again ,In all likelyhood you peobalby deserve more then a party as always we get what we sow and from the suprise party your crops are coming in ,may you have many more Happy belated birthday peace and good luck clammy
