Hey Jason, feel free to take a look at my website. It shows many different methods for installing radiant heat. One may be what would make you change your mind..

    radiant heat

im replacing the heating system in my home and have a few questions.

    1. I really like the floor radiant heat but the house is on a crawl space. I recently heard about the system that can be installed from the inside. What do you know about the application, cost and look of the finished product?

    2. If I decide not to go with the floor radiant heat my second choice might be the european style panel wall heaters because after my research I found that they take up less room, cleaner because they are off the floor, radiate heat 85% horizontal 15% up wall or vertical, much more efficient because I can control the heat much better with from a valve located on the radiator. Are these findings true? Also, should I go with cast iron radiators verse steel?

    3. I just purchased a used wood burning fireplace insert for my brick fireplace. The brand name is quadrafire and I believe it is made of steel. I later found out that cast iron radiants much more efficient? Is this true?

thank you so much for your help. If you would like to speak to me, I can be reached at 518-441-0538.
