a solenoid type valve. They are normally open. They operate on 24 volts "DC" so that they avoid the 60 Hz hum. They require a thermostat that makes on temperature rise.

Does anyone know anything about the the Auto Mag zone valves and if they work good. Is there any advantages to using this zone volve over its competitors,Taco, Honeywell, Eries, etc.0 -

also very good to use on wood application because they are power closed valve so if you loose power the valve will open and become the dump zone.
they are a very good valve. also easy to test if you have magnatism on the top of the coil the valve is closed if no magnatism the valve is open. need specialtsat or standard tsat with the use of a isolation relay
