I'm looking for
an air handler with a built in coil for hydro air. I want an ECM motor for variable air flow. I need enough air for a 5 ton A/C. Evap coil not neccesary. Thanks in advance for any leads or recommendations. WW0 -
try here. Do not know if they have ECM
http://www.enerzoneinc.com/airhandlers.htm
I use them because they are local to me, but I have never had a problem.0 -
First Company
and possibly Enviro-Tec aka: ETI(now owned by Johnson Controls, Inc.)
Another of good reputation is Nailor out of Texas. They were using ECM motors in their product line (including fan powered terminal boxes) years ago."If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"

Hydronic AHU with Veriable speed
I use the Lennox CBWMV-60C-120 120k Btuh for 5ton applications. Multi position with a variable speed blower. I hope this works for you.

Thanks for
all of the replys, but have not found any with the ECM motor. Thermopride makes one but does not come in Downflow applications, which is what this job needs. WW

Wayne look at advanced distributer products. They have an ecm motor with variable speed. We have used them before with great success. Also a fellow tradesman i know uses the carrier infinity air handlers with heatpack coils on top of them the wiring is tricky but it can be done. You would then have use of the infinity thermostats which i think are some of the best around.0 -
hydronic fan coil w/ ECM
Try http://www.hydronmodule.com/hydronicfancoils.html
I have been using these fan coils for years, with and without the ECM option.0 -
The ecm is a great motor, but I don't like how it's controlled. I like to use a standard psc motor with a Fan handler control. This thing is cool. It will maintain a set outlet temp in both heating and cooling. You can also set a minimum speed for "fan on" like the ecm. I can't figure out how to post a link, but here's the address. fanhandler.com0
