Solar Panel's and Cost???

from what I remember 30 deg. from true south orientation is about as far as you want to go, after this and there is steep drop in absorption.

I can imagine straddling the peek with a narrow 8 tube collector (like the one hr recently installed) this would require some custom work for the support structure but would achieve desired (required) southern orientation. I don't think east /west orientation would have much economic value (R.O.I.)

From what I understand one aspect of evacuated tubes is that some correction for off axis can be made by slight rotation of the tubes towards south.

    East west exposure...:-)

I would like to utilize the east west peaks that are roughly 35'x15' and get a lot of sun. What am I looking at as far as cost, new technology that's available and overall potential power output......

    Thanks

    Thermal solar or PV?

For solar thermal panels Resol and a few others sell differential solar controllers with an extra sensor to "watch' panels on two different exposures. I know Oventrop has that control available.
