boiler control

Knight boiler DHW priority boost the water temperature to 180. You would lose your outdoor reset that's a standard feature of the boiler control. Have you consider a mechacical mixing valve for the radiant system. Control scheme could consist of a simple switching relay to control your zone pumps for both the fan coil and the radiant system allowing you to take advantage of the outdoor reset capabilties of the boiler for both temperatures. Consider oversizing the fan coil so you could use 140 degree supply water at design, a 40 degree delta T zone pump so you bring return water back to the boiler around 100 degrees for maximum boiler effeciency!

    boiler control

I am installing a Knight boiler on a radiant system, with domestic hot water and a fan coil for the 2nd floor. I was going to run the fan coil off the same water temp as the domestic. Will this work? Any draw backs? What would the benifit of a Teknet System be on this install?

    Doug,

When you say you'll run the hydroair off/at the d/h/w water temp, shouldn't that be a lot lower - to maximize condensing of the boiler?

For d/h/w you need ~150-160 boiler temps. The hydro coil, except on design day, will not need anywhere that.

    What am I missing?
