Beautiful ci rad installation

Thanks for the tour. I was at the Jerome in summer 2001 and admired them but not enough to take pictures. I like that there are no nicks on the plugs. They who restored the Jerome spared no expense.

To be honest, I did not stay at the Jerome... my friend's conference was there at the time.

    Beautiful CI Rad

It probably suggests some form of mental illness when a guy goes on vacation to Aspen, CO and takes pictures of cast iron radiator installations.

However, this one in the Hotel Jerome caught my eye. Apparently all the hot water radiators in this hotel were sand blasted and then (possibly) treated with some sort of clear coat finish (or not--I couldn't tell). But whatever the process, the finished product is, IMO, absolutely gorgeous.

I'm not a pro, but the installation looks pretty good, too. My only observation would be that the bleeder looks a little too low to get all the air vented out.

Not so bad in the off season

Actually, we walked in and got a room for less than $200. And it was a beautiful room--more like a suite.

That compares to about $150 for a tacky room at a chain joint near the Denver airport.
