a Cat IV boiler into a chiney that was lined w/ a Stainless steel liner of appropriate size? Venting materials are usus. al27c stainless....kpc

All codes
All codes default or are subordinate to the manufacturers recommendations for venting from what I've seen. Check with the maker of the boiler and see what they say.
Category 4 would dictate that the flue has to be sealed air tight under positive pressure and will need provision for a drain. Other than that clearances in an existing flue, which is now only serving as a chase, would probably not be an issue.0 -
