I inadvertadly plugged in a Natural Gas hot water heater to a Propane line and used the water heater for 2 weeks, before it shut itself off. Can this same water heater now be used if connected to natural gas ? Or, was there damage in using it with Propane ?

I wouldn't trust it. Chances are there is no major damage but the gas valve could have been damaged or the diaphram could have been compromised. I would at least change out the gas control. What shut it down would be the first thing I would check out, but I wouldn't live with that heater in my house without a complete evaluation by an expert gas tech.0
