on the www.shelburnefalls.com site? Red Roof inn in Deerfield is only 15 to 20 min from me and 10 or so from greenfield.Oxbow motel in Charlemont is only a few minutes up the road.. A lot are filled due to our White Water Rafting on the Deerfield. Also Yankee Doodle Days in Charlemont that weekend. Hope you find something. Otherwise a sleeping bag in my back yard is do-able LOL.     Sorry John...

    Things have been going in circles for the last few weeks.

    Until this afternoon, I wasn't at all sure I was going to be able to make it.

    My Dad WAS scheduled to have surgery on the 13th...which was moved from the ORIGINAL 16th...but has now been pushed back to the 27th...(MY.... BRAIN......HURTS!!! Think Monty Python's Village Idiot....It's Hilarious!)

    Now that the plans SEEM to be formalized...I'm having trouble finding a room in the area. Everything comes up booked for the 14th.

    I'm working on it! I'd love to visit the Friday before, but think that it won't happen.

    I WILL be there for the cookout(right now!) and hope to get something close during the weekend search.

    I'm still, surprisingly....smoke free.The pressure and temptation have reared their UGLY head SO many times in the last couple weeks...and even my close friends are still surprised that I'm still holding on.

    I won't let MYSELF DOWN at this point!

    I hope that we will all see each other next weekend! I will also ask that I be forgiven if things take a twist. Chris
