Thanks for posting this. There are a lot of places that don't need the max gadget system. They will save money both heating and cooling. I bet the new R410 unit will save them at least 30% in electric costs. Perhaps you could get them to compare bills in a few months. Piping layout is clean and easy to follow and service. Have a good summer.

Buderus G115/21 install clammy
well it's been a while since i have done some of own stuff and posted it so here it is.This home originally had a single grvity supply return grill in a 1 st floor hall oil fired and had been there from day one a nice ole sunbeam.Originally i had planned on doing a hallmark furnace and a coil and condenser and of course some duct work and priced it all out figuring that they would never go for a seperate hot water boiler with baseboard and a overhead a/c job but well they did .Thank god i did the a/c first 3 weeks ago it was sweet to work in a air condintioned home for a change ,The heating side is 2 zones slant fin 30 and i used watts heat pex for most of all the runs all the baseboard has been sized for a max of 170 at 0 design ,but a outdoor reset was not in the numbers ,the a/c sider is a trane 13 seer condenser and the newer teh air handler with a aprilaire hepa filter ,the main trunk is externally wrapped r6 and i used r6 flex also the home was a cape so it was alot of fun and tight .I did this job solo as i always do and all in all it took about 3 weeks to do it all a/c and the heat with removal of the existing furnace and a second floor cozy gas wall heater and a 2 ton fedders through the wall a/c unit i also framed and rocked the openings and had a siding buddy fix the siding i also re framed the floor opening and put up the wall for the panel and moved the hot water heater and lets not forget the 2 chimmey thimbles also .the home owners who are retired and in there late 70 loved it all ,the wife first loved the a/c and the removal of that noisey wall unit and danced in the basement after i got rind of the ole sunbeam great custermers like these folks are not a dime a dozen it was like doing the job for your mom and dad and you know it has to be perfect peace and good luck clammyR.A. Very nice Clammy
I'm in the middle of my own G-115 install. I love the Buderus product. My favorite feature on your boiler board, is the kneeling pad hanging on the boiler board for old mechanics with sore knees. Ha! I have put my boiler on the Buderus horizontal indirect tank so I wont have to bend over to work on it. I used my Escalera electric stair climbing hand truck with the fork ilft attachment to lift it up there. Sweet! ( I love my toys/tools) Thanks for sharing the pics. WW

So many nice touches...
.... from the well-supported boiler tubing to the clean wiring job, iso flanges around the circulators, and plenty of room to work in. The layout on the blue board reflects some careful thought re: where to place things so that they're handy for the next technician and the service outlets will be appreciated by anyone who has to work on the boiler.
I also liked how you supported the PEX tubing bends in the ceiling with the external bending shoe or whatever that 90 degree plastic fitting is called so that the tubing makes perfectly orderly directional changes. The heating system is easily the most elegant infrastructure in the basement. Congratulations on a job well done!"Let me control you"

thanks
The support bends are wisbro support 90's there avaiable in 1/2 and 3/4 i use them when ever i can instead of the 90 fittings less flow restriction and they have a solid screwable flange on them to secure them pex can be a pain to make as good looking as steel or copper tubing so you have to be creatifuland have a little pre planning layout in your sights ,wayne that's no kneeing pad it's a binder with all the boiler, burner and parts info in case i'm not around to service it plus it looks better then sticking a manila evevople behind a pipe ,thanks for the kind words peace and good luck clammyR.A.
