Do what the manufacturer say's to do. If you read page 46/47 of the installation manual for the Burnham megasteam it will give you a step by step walk through on how to clean a steam system..

    Steam Pipe Flushing & Cleaning

    Nobody wants cutting oil from threaded pipe or flux from welded pipe to enter radiators and other steam loads or come back to the boiler in the condensate piping to foul it.

    How do highly knowledgeable folks like you flush out and/or clean the steam and condensate piping that is newly installed on your projects?

    I get a whole lot of blank stares when I ask this of contractors on the job sites I go to.
