American Stabilis Mini Miser

Consider a tekmar 261. It will sequence two boilers, provide reset control based on outdoor air temperature, provide boiler protection, and can be set up with a permanent heat demand for a "hot" boiler. See http://tekmarcontrols.com/literature/acrobat/d261.pdf. The Minimiser was a good, single boiler reset control available years ago, but the technology and features available in today's controls will impress you.

    American Stabilis Mini Miser

My friend Bud, a retired GE and Honeywell engineer, has a hot water heating system in his house that utilized two boilers (the second comes into play when it gets colder), maintains a constant flow of heated water, with pneumatic thermostatically controlled valves in each room. The device that deals with the outside temperature and controls the two boilers is called an American Stabilis Mini Miser.
Bud, who is getting on in years, has asked if I could find any information about this device or a modern replacement for it, since it appears to be malfunctioning. (Bud did not say what was wrong with it.)
Since it appears American Stabilis went out of business, it would make sense to find a replacement device. Any suggestions?

I would try asking the controls wholesaler Neuco, phone 800-323-7394. They know a lot about controls, and have a good stock, too.
