A very good day for me (Dan H.)

at NEFI, I resigned from the Board of Directors of Oil Heat Cares. My dear friend, Judy Garber, and I helped start this foundation four years ago, and it's up and running and doing very well indeed. Much good can come from a couple of good friend having a few drinks together. Of this I am convinced.
My daughter, Colleen, was the inspiration for Oil Heat Cares when she was involved with a project at Harvard a few yeas back. I suggested that she take my place as a board member yesterday and the board elected her unamiously. I know she's going to do a great job. Colleen is 26 years old and, as a caring outsider to our industry, brings a unique perspective to Oil Heat Cares. I love her and admire her.
Colleen graduated from Providence College, which is a superb Liberal Arts school, in 2002 and went into Americorp for three years to serve our country. She now lives in Somerville, MA and works at Northeastern University in the capacity of bringing the students together with the people of Boston who are not as fortunate as most of us are. She has taught me much about life, and I know that she is going to do a great job as a board member.
Sadly, I must tell you that Colleen is also a Red Sox fan, but I have forgiven her for that, and I hope you will do the same.
You go, girl!
