Life is not fair

I got a call from a good friend last night, telling me that his 28-year-old nephew had died in a single-car traffic accident. He apparently rolled the car and knocked himself unconscious, winding up upside down in a water-filled ditch where he drowned. What made those so tragic beyond his death is the sequence of tragedy in this story:

The only child of my friend's brother, a brother who committed suicide ten years ago. His widow never remarried and this was their only child. The deceased man was a father-to-be with his first child due in a month. My heart breaks for his mother and widow -- and for the yet unborn child. Hug your kids, help your parents, and rejoice in being alive.
