Raupanel
I am using Raupanel in a situation where Warmboard doesn't work because of its height. I have been told that due to my high heat load I should be using the 6" on center application instead of the 8" on center using the furring strips (sorry if I'm mangling the heating "lingo"). We are installing the panels ourselves, and are getting lots of creaking sounds when the panels are walked on, especially first thing in the morning. Has anyone else used the 6" application and experienced this problem? Is there anything we can do? We've screwed the boards down very tight, tried a bead of silicone between the metal panels -- nothing works. It's new construction with no problems with the joist support. Will the creaking stop once I put down underlayment and floating wood floors? Thanks for any thoughts!!

What I did
I gapped the panels with a screw so they didn't touch, then removed the screw when the panel was attached. I was also told by the rep to only screw down along one side for expansion. However, quite a few got screwed down on both sides and there has been no problem. We also used it in the bathroom walls and it does squeak a bit upon a call for heat.0
