Anode rods

... isn't a term I've heard. Would it also be called stray current? That would affect the tank and piping rather than the anode, but more info on the situation would help.

    Does anybody have any information (written) about the effects of trace voltage on anode rods in indirect water heaters. Thx in advance for your help.

    Larry,
    You are probably right. It is stray current and I was told that it would affect the anode rod. I spoke with Buderus and they told me that stray current, possibly from poorly grounded electric could affect the anode rod. I was told that was an industry standard but they did not have anything in writing to substaniate it.
