I feel your pain, Scott... Which is why I ofthen don't try to waste my time bidding vs the gas company.. However I charged every minutes for the re work on their projects.... Do you know what brand are they putting in?

I bid a job for an Apt building

that one of my customers owns. Ten boilers all L.P. with HWH tanks. I gave him two options. One for boilers with 40 gallon HWH and one with Indirects. More expensive for the indirects but better in the long run. I stuck with atmosperic as the location for ten vents would push the code and LOOK horrible.

L.P. supplier came in 20 grand lower ?? 20 !!! And I think he's going D.V..

Funny thing is ... he was going to L.P. no matter what. They GAVE it away.

the LP companies did this ALL the time. "Free" water heaters for every new customer.

No more. They stopped that quite a while ago. Perhaps their accounting dept. got involved and said, "STOP IT!!!!!!".

Not to worry though. Once Steamhead sees what you posted about steam systems, that lost job will be the least of your worries. The Steam Mafia has your number!
