    Free A/C

Hi Ken: The next thing that they will tell you is that the desiccant unit is 380 v and 3 phase power. The Europeans are very smart. Everything is 3 phase so that you don't need capacitors. GE hates that! If you are seriously looking for a small cooling system, refer to my suggestion of a 1/2 hp condensing unit with R-410a refrigerant and a coil for the ductwork(can be water or refrigerant). You can get a good refrigeration mechanic to set this up for much less than trying to import a unit from Europe, and he will service it too.Don't forget that this is busy season for the HVAC Guys.

I looked and could not find your 1/2 hp, R-410A post to look back upon.

To what are you refering? Remember I AM A WET-HEAD. A/C is alien to my knowledge base, but I'm catching on fast (;-o)

    Hi Ken:
I think that the best bet would be for you to ask locally for someone who is well known as a refrigeration and HVAC contractor. I would suggest that you try someone who is a member of ACCA(Air Conditioning Contractors of America). They are a national organization like PHCC or ASHRAE and have members who know what's best for the local area and the customer's requirements. They will be more expensive than Bevis & Butthead, but it will be done once right.Good luck.

    Done that...

Which is why the posting here.

Bevis and Butthead are the only guys in town. Six manufacturer's have all sent line catalogs and the names of wholesalers. The wholesalers have no clue, the contractors they sell to unresponsive. This is typical in the land of air that is scorched.

Especially so here where cooling and HRV are unlike anything these guys ever do. Finding anyone who thinks outside the box is always hard. In northern VT, where wood stoves heat well over 50% of all residences, it is impossible.

We do not need a contractor. We need a designer. I have a designer. Me and a fellow ASHRAE P.E. The Czechs make what we need. Trying to go thru a NJ rep is today's problem.

    Tomorrow is, well, tomorrow.

    Still waiting...

It's been a week, the maker has yet to respond.

    How long should we wait?
