    Into what, is the question...

Are they also making beer now?

I know they make variable speed circs. Is that not better than 3-speed? They've been doing that for a while now.

    I like the

speed selector switch, and handle that stays on the terminal box.

I like the metal connection box with two wire connection openings, and easy to use cover.

Not sure about the 4 bolt flange yet??? Sure looks odd :)

The same motor will work on either the 00R or the 0010 3 speed.

Nice flat curve circ in the 0010 model.

It is a bit thirstier than brand G, 1.10 amp on speed 3 compared to .75 for G.

All in all a very nice offering.

I saw the pump yesterday at a counter day. The three speeds curves pretty closely match a 005, 007 and 0010 respectively. Good idea for a service truck, 007 for zone pumps with maybe a 0010 on a boiler or indirect tank?

    00-VS

the Taco 00-VS Circ, available in 003-0014 styles, incorporates a snap-in PC board to provide multiple functions; including setpoint temperature control, or delta-T operation, which varies the speed to maintain a set temperature drop. It includes 3 strap-on sensors. Not an ODR circ. The 00-VR will handle that. A lot more than a 3-speed switch on board, and the price point reflects that.

It's all at Taco's web site for the taking. Amazing versatility in application choices. Check it out.

And from another thread regarding PEX, now becoming the new standard are the 4 and 5 layer pex products, where the ozygen barrier is applied ( yes, it has to be applied to the pex) below the exterior surface of the tubing.

Others here on the Wall will know more than I, but, as a very knowledgable, smart, and intelligent man that you are, I would think you would research a little more about this.

    Ahhhhh Grundfos

Often imitated, NEVER duplicated. Talk about being a day late and a dollar short. Try and come up with an idea first once in a while. Long live the UPS15/58-FC. Taco? Big deal, the company is becoming increasingly irrelevant!

    Great

I believe it will do well !
For one thing , now the circs will match the SR zone control in color, as I always use.
Speaking of which, Taco has much more to offer than just circs, Does Grundfos offer a zone control? Does Grundfos offer LWCO? or RMB's or PRV's?

Not fair to say they are irrelevant.

I'm looking forward to putting a few in !

    It is unfortunate...

That somehow we tend to "confuse" the heart and spirit of someone - or their company entity as a pure reflection of the quality and purpose of their products.

The product(s) need to stand on their own, regardless of how saintly the ownership.

Taco, IMO, made and still make the finest wet rotor circs. on the planet. Not because of the warm and fuzzy stories about the owners, but because they were bullet proof pumps.

Twenty years ago we all condemned Grundfos for siezed rotor nightmares. Almost a third of all Grundfos circs. we installed seized within the first season re-starts. I was so sick of pulling that cap screw off and breaking the rotor loose as to dismiss them as "players" for 15 years!

In my own home, built almost two years ago, the Grundfos 3-speed, internal flow checks and an ARGO relay was the only choices around. Had Taco been at that stage of pump development, my system would have been green, not mauve.

In business we buy on "heart" when all else is equal. I suggest now, Taco would get my vote for both superiority AND heart.

They always had the "heart." Now they have the product as well.
