Carrier has a nice program in REZCALC. Easy to use. Good tech support.

hello professor
any recommendations for cooling load software?
I was also looking for a way to learn the how tos of duct sizing and a distribution for hvac systems. maybe a seminar. thankyou

Try Manual J and D available through ACCA.com If you prefer PC work, use Right J and D software. Also, Invest in a good ductulator... You can play with different duct sizes and it will help you in your work.

For residential

For residential applications, your best bets are Manuals J and D. Although more time consuming to perform, I am partial to the Manual D method and this is what I teach at the college.
As far as seminars go, there will likely be some Manual D and Manual J sessions coming to a Long Island near you.
