Is the camp supplied by a utility or on-site generators? Or.. perhaps solar?

    Heating systems at camps

I have to convert non heated buildings (existing structures) to heated structures (including water) What would you recomend to be the most efficeint. I have seen in rest stops units that get installed in the ceilings do you know much about these - also info on tankless water heaters

    Thanks Michele

Efficiency-wise electric (all of the electric you pay for is used for heating the water - no heat being lost out the vent) - it might not be the most economically to use, meaning electric might cost more than gas, even with gas efficiency considered.

Tell us more about your application. How many houses? approximate size, how many people using, how old?

Are these buildings or cabins going to be year round usage or seasonal? Location? For some that have electric and gas service... Weekend usages, I opted for direct vent wall furnaces. Safety checks on these as well other units must be done before using...

These are buildings that are not heated at the moment - Have water but not heated water. they are actual buildings - not used all the time so it would be nice to turn heat off when not in use to save energy

what do you have available? natural gas, Propane, Electric, or other.

I take it as only being used for temporarily heating water for washing dishes, showering, etc.?

Is there any hot water needed for heating the building?
