Paul, do you guys play "Sea of Love"? That's my wife and me's wedding song, and the 19th is our anniversary! Rare Earth would work, too... Why not post a typical setlist - "Dandelion" or "She's Like A Rainbow", perhaps?

The Rolling Stones record " I can't get not satisfaction ".

Hows that for a long time in the industry :)

" And I'm driving in my car, and the man comes on the radio, give me more and more, of that useless information .. "

    What a drag

it is getting old. Things are different today, I hear every Mother say. Mother needs something today to calm her down....and though she's not really ill, there's a little yellow pill, sends her running for the shelter of her Mother's little helper, and one helps her on her way, gets her through her busy day. Ironic I think that the Rolling Stones should write a song moralizng about valium abuse. Although it's one of my favorites. Ha! WW

    I don't think.....

...they were moralizing valium use as much as they were belittling it. That's my take, anyway.

Actaully I think the Stones shot the wad in the early seventies. Most of the other stuff is kinda lame.

    Probably true...

...although Some Girls and Tatto You were pretty hot albums! Shattered was THE dance record at the AU Tavern Tuesday night blowouts...although it often led to many Wednesday morning's wondering "what the hell am I doing here?"

The other May 10th event -- think hockey!

The last couple of Stones albums all got alot of hype on the radio, claiming they were back to their old sound. Actually, they experimented with blues, country, disco, previously - so the old sound could be anything? I liked the pyschedelic experimentation on "Her Majesty's Satanic Request", but that seems lost now. I even forget how many light years from home they were? No one seems to like songs that are over 3 1/2 minutes long, anymore...

    Way-Back

If anyone is interested, my band, the Way-Back Machine is playing on May 19th at the American Legion Hall in Norwalk, CT. We play all 60's music; Beatles to Manfred Mann, Stones to Tommy James, Billy J Kramer to Motown.

Tix are $10 and the bar is cheap. Email me if you're interested.

    Thanks, John.

    Great memory.

Linda's family had huge get togethers every Mothers day but I wouldn't leave the TV until that game ended. The women were mad as hell when we arrived late and the guys jealous.

    :-)

    I Remember!

It was a Sunday at "Nona's house". We used to spend every Sunday there with almost the whole family....(Nona saw 16 GREAT grandchildren...so we knew what PAPA did when he was "in" from fishing)

I was almost 7 years old when it happened, but I remember the moment to this day! Uncle Sam,(Gunga Din, for those of you from Gloucester)who's apartment was just below, was up there with us, as the ceiing came down in "Aunt Rosies" living room, just below. There was a BIT of jumping happenning....and the plaster came loose.OOPS !(Rosie was pissed!)

Memories are priceless. Thanks for reminding me John.

(She-do-be.... Shattered.) Ack! Help! Gwan..get outa there by god. I can't think. (She-do-be...Shattered) :O What would you call that kind of music. It's not rock or blues. Is it a kind of pre-rap music? WW
