    Calculating EDR

    Are bare vertical steam risers traveling through residential living spaces included when calculating EDR for a replacement steam boiler? If so, are there any tables or data available for calculating? I currently have 24' of 2" pipe and 8' of 1-1/2" pipe.
    Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    I would consider that small an amount of pipe in the pick up factor of the system rather that consider it EDR radiation. Most manuf. include enough pickup in their sizing charts to account of some piping loss in the system.
    No to worry,but for safety sakes, insulate it.
