Professional courtesy is a powerful thing…

Me and Moses from ENY were on a job where we are almost done and the HO didn’t want to pay his milestone, started bargaining – and demanding what out costs were, etc.., he is a “Deal Junky” who made millions in questionable real-estate deals, so this kind of nonsense comes natural to him

We told him that after you fill up your gas tank you can’t tell the attendant that you want to pay the price across the street

Well we asked the other subs on site if they would do a temp work stoppage, and they agreed – and told the owner so, and of course he changed his tune real fast – he was in total shock – he couldn’t believe that we would cooperate!!!

Wait, there is even a “competing” plumbing sub on the site, who is doing water/sewer and us doing the heating, and the “competitor” played along – and when the HO asked why he would, the answer: “you are only one house, we all have to get along on many sites, and sub to each other when one gets overloaded or the job is to big for one – so we act with Professional courtesy to one another all the time”

    I love it!!!

I absolutely love it! Boy that makes me happy, one of the world beaters getting beaten in his own backyard. Fair is fair, if he wants to play that game it's good to know that you can play too. It just sucks that you have to play.

It's kind of like boxing in that idiot on the highway who just has to get to McDonald's 3 seconds earlier than you.

Excellent handling and what sounds like the proper outcome. I've dealt with a few similar customers and it's never easy...
