AC coil in the return side

Professor: Regarding a case when coils are installed at the return or inlet side of a forced air gas furnace, we're warned of possible corrosion. This is due to condensation within the furnace heat exchanger body. Is this warning mentioned within installation standards or mechanical codes that you are aware of? NFPA has an AC installation standard, but I do not have a copy at hand. Can you assist in my research, please? Thank you- Greg
