Ok then, now we need the dimension of the cabinet and core and I can look up the approx output from an old book I have. (if I can still find it!)

hi guys,
trying to do a heat-calc.
would anyone have a BTU/Ft rating for ~1964 'Fedders' 3-pipe horizontal copper tubes - (one) big aluminum fin type radiators?
these are your old style - maybe 30" high type radiators [vents on the top - always painted white :-)] with the inlet pipe splitting into a 3-pipe manifold running horizontally & combined again at the end return manifold - running thru aluminum fin (maybe 5-6" across horizontally). i think the 3 inside pipes are 3/4" (maybe 1/2")- i believe they were made by fedders. they can put out some decent heat for a short length.
i'm sure someone here is familiar with them. if not i'll take a picture & post.

What your describing is known as a "convector"
Does it have a metal cover, that is removable?

yup that's it - big metal front cover comes off after pulling out from the bottom & then sorta lifting up & then out.

oh..
oh, i was thinking this was a linear ft btu rating like reg baseboard but i see what you're saying that it's dimensional based on the box size.
i have all different linear sizes of these in the house (although the height/depth/& element are the same) so i was hoping that this was a 'point to a website thing' rather than a dig up an old book (meaning i hate to bother people) but i will measure one & post.
i gather the slantfin heat calc software doesn't cover these?

this is for hydronic.
enclosure height is 23".
core is 3 X 1/2" pipes.
6" deep - 2.5" high.
and it does say fedders on it - but no part no. that i can see.
this particular one is 56" long but these exist in all different lengths from 24" to 56" all around the house.
i found very few ratings on the web for similar but only 2-pipe versions rated at 180F (although didn't see a gpm - assuming 4) rated at about 1700-1800 btu/ft - output per foot decreases as the unit gets smaller.

OK now we're getting somewhere. I found my chart. My chart says they come in three depths,4,6,& 8 inches deep (cabinets not core) and heights of 18, 20, 24, 26, & 32" and lengths ranging from 20" to 64"
For example: the one you describe at 6" deep x 24" high x 56" long with 65* entering air temp @ 180* water temp puts out 8300 btu's. I have charts based on three input temps, 170*, 180* and 190*. If you want you can e-mail me with all your dimensions, and I will send you back the btu rating.
I wish I had a scanner I could send you a copy of the chart.

if the rating is 8300btu for the 56" triple version then it looks like this chart for a double version is giving roughly the same numbers:

Yeah, that chart looks very similar to mine. mine is just ALOT older, probably from the 50's
