This is a photoshopped version of that great ken myers job he sent in earlier this month. He was nice enough to allow me to post it. Sort of looks like an X ray; would love to see a hydronic system where you could see all the movement.

I was sent some pics of a job we did today. With the lighting I thought this one looked pretty cool.

That is surreal, Josh!
Sort of like those super-realism paintings, so shiny. Incredible shot and very neat joints!0 -
It's time for these artistic installs to become visual art
That's great looking work. The Wall should have an annual contest --somehow made into a charity event-- for the top 10 boiler install art. Would promote the kind of work Wallies do.
Just for fun I laid some photoshop on your photo Josh--hope you don't mind. Possibilities are endless.

Amazing
Would love to see the rest of the install.

Wow!
Job looks nice. More than nioe, and the photoshop effect is mondo cool. One of the things I like about hydronics is that when done right, and with proper care, form follows function, and the result is art with spirit and class. Keep up the high standard. WW

Hey Josh
Did you happen to notice the owner of Taco commented on your work of art? That validates what you said about a company that cares.Joe Mattiello

Agree 100%. There have been some beautiful jobs posted here....neatness counts! I can see it now, Heatinghelp.com pipe art.
Dan H., are you reading this?0 -
I'll second that
or third, or fourth, or however many of us agree- that is one sweet-looking job. I bet the owner shows off his heat system at least as much as his new car!
Tell us more about the system- boiler, heat emitters etc.
To John White- it's rare that a manufacturing company's owner shows up here to compliment a job. It means a lot to us. Thanks for setting an example for others to follow.

Steamhead this is actually a super basic job. There are 4 RFH zones and an indirect fired water heater. Nothing special. I used an NTI Trinity boiler. Fine boiler for sure but I don't think I will use one again because of the high pressure drop.. The whole house is Wirsbo QuickTrac because everything is wood floor. Aprox 2000 Square Feet.
I have a much nicer job I am working on right now. I'll post pics soon. 8000 Square feet, TN4 controls, 12 zones, 200 gallons of indirects (for the 20GPM shower)... This one is going to be my showpiece. I am thinking a curved stainless steel background with curved maniflods! Should be fun.
Thanks you guys for your encouragement! It is nice to be appreciated by your peers!

Art
Josh and David,
I hope you don't mind but I just printed off both of you works of art to show my people what a beautiful job looks like.
David, if you don't mind, I want to frame this artwork. Maybe you have another calling here.0 -
I have the original photo as my background on my PC.
Stunning!0 -
of course Josh is the real artist here but
thanks nonetheless. Before coming to the Wall I'd never seen this much attention to detail, the bracketing, etc. I guess it's more common on commercial jobs where there's usually more zones lining up on the wall. But was this kind of thing done in the 50s for example? I'd like to see a tradition of the installers'and company names embossed on a corner of the wall mounting plate, be it wood or diamond plate. (good for PR too.) The more attention it gathers from homeowners, the more they might try to assuage their curiosity and perhaps learning and de-mystification of hydronics might occur.
By the way I'm going to put a 'rendering' of F. Wrench's shot up in a few minutes.
Thanks again,
David0 -
LOL
Scott, you got me. I got pictures of my college days. Long hair and a beard holding up a peace sign. "Right on, Solid and fur shur" were commonly used back then, as I'm sure you'd remmeber. I never would have left college if I didnt have to. Just one more game of pool before I go to the Library, fer shur. WW
