Indirect water heaters

Hello,
I have a question. I understand that you can add indirect water heaters onto hot water boilers. Do you know if you can attach an indirect water heater on to a Steam boiler??
If so are there things you must do to make it work or is it only on certain types or brands? Please let me know! Thank you.

You Can
A bearing type circulator would be a better choice when used on steam . Even adding a strainer basket before would be wise.The gritty water eats them up...Piping to the indirect should be below the water line also..0 -
Use a Bronze Circ
Use a bronze circulator, not the typical iron type. It will last longer.
