A Vitoden is added to my Wall of Flame mod con

the finest equipment money can buy. And like most of our services, they are NOT for everyone. But if quality is the number one consideration, they can't be beat.

I've known of this boiler since it has been on the market. I must say until I actually got my hands on one, I had no idea.

The thought and engineering that went into this machine is something to behold. It feels like every single piece was designed and built to a high quality single purpose-ness.

Little details like the geared door operator. The precise machine work on the various brackets. The cardboard templetes and powder coated wall bracket. Without sharp edges!

I don't think ad slicks or even ratchet jawed sales and marketing folks, at the trade show booths, alone, are the way to sell this machine.

I'd propose they put 4 or so on tour. Send them out to contractors. Let them mess with them, look at the components, compare, check out the assembly procedure. Perhaps then the price tag will make more sense. Because if the contractor doesn't see the difference, then....

    HR,

I don’t know if I can take any credit for this one, but were you contacted by someone at Viessmann WRT your “Wall of Flame” comparison last week? I put a bug in someone's ear about your wall hung comparison during NAOSM. Did they provide you with the Vito?

I guess I have staked my........

......reputation on Viessmann, since it is pretty much the only thing I offer in the way of boilers and hardware. Everything else is just that.............everything else.

    Contractors...

often don't see the difference even then....

It takes more than an act of faith to understand high technology. You either get it or don't. Sometimes it's not black and white, but I'll dare say that 'price' often becomes far more important than features, benefits and quality.

    It truly is

It truly is alone in a class of one.

Have you removed the burner and checked out the HX yet? Just 2 allens on the gas line, 4-10mm hex nuts and unplug the wiring. The whole thing comes out in your hands just as slick as can be. The HX and condensate drain are set up in a manner that allows you to just brush it and spray it out with a hose. Check out how easy it is to remove the condensate trap, just a clip holding the bottom half on and its all exposed.

BAaaahhh I'm getting carried away here. Just start taking the thing apart. You won't believe it.

See now why I gushed over the quality, attention to details and thoughful construction in that review over in "On the Job"?

Just wait 'till you hear and watch it in operation! Tick-tock, tick-tock, shhhhhhhhh, purrrrrrrrrrr....

If it seems "dead", don't forget to assign the circulator. If still "dead", check the pressure sensor over on the left near the top of the combustion chamber for continuity. If open, give it a little rap with something like the handle of a screwdriver.

    welcome

Welcome my friend we our glad you have seen the light. as a Viessmann installer and true believer for about 15 years. I I can tell you that you will never look back on lesser machines . No they should not put it on tour. I for one am for protected terretories . No Johny come lately contractors need apply. You either get it or you don't. Not everyone can be an Astin Martin or Ferrari dealer.

    "There is no substitute".

Want to have fun Hot Rod? look at what you can to do in the coding if you go real deep . What don't they tell you in the manual???? .Plenty if you tinker.

Even more fun gang them up with a Cascade control.

Broad is the road to destruction. Narrow is the path to true enlightment and few are those finding it.

    Shhhhhhh..... people might listen

Chiming with the rest of the Chorus

I didn't know what heating technology was until I installed a Vitodens. The day I fired that puppy up I was terrified it wasn't working because it was so quiet. Then I remembered my time spent at Warwick w/ James McCarthy in training at the Viessmann factory and being shocked at how quiet 200K btus could be...ahhhhhhh
