carpet pad / insulation
first, you'll probably want to use plates in your staple up.
slab rubber carpet pads are best.
insulation type isn't critical, really, as long as the joists are well sealed against infiltration, and the insulation has a real R value, not an "r value equivalence" (i.e. not just reflective). Your construction might need vapor barriers or what have you which might influence your decision though.

what type carpet pad would be best for a staple up to wood subfloor project (least thermal resistive) and what type insulation in the joist bays (reflective, faced, non) ?0
