Heater option

a combo unit. I installed a Laars Mascot in my in laws small home. It has an onboard flat plat for DHW. Been running about a month now with no complaints on the DHW side.

I'll bet it runs cheaper, installed cost, than a boiler and indirect.

Sure is pretty on the wall. Concentric vent, wall hung, very simple to plumb.

True it will not run real high efficiency numbers IF you have to run 180 to meet the load. Then agsin most days below design it should be able to reset into 140 or lower to take advantage of condensing mode.

The modulating feature is worth it in my opinion. much nice than a on off 1 output boiler.

hot rod

    Heater option

Doing a in-law addition and the father wants baseboard heat, heat loss at 17,000 btu's and the family would also like to have dhw made by heater. Undecided whetherto go with T80 and super-stor or other style, btu's don't realy justify a 90% boiler.Any other ideas.
